Sector exit checks and events
New entry confirmation: the stock must pass its flow-rank, relative-volume and VWAP checks in at least 3 of the last 5 completed minutes, including the latest two. Missing bars do not count. The broad-sector or ETF-backed subgroup gate must also pass at entry. A single-minute spike no longer opens an alert.
Strength baseline: sector relative strength versus SPY, and index/sector reversal ranges, start at the 09:35 ET bar open. Overnight gaps and 09:30–09:34 moves are excluded. Missing baseline prices cannot confirm a signal. Entries may use broad peer confirmation or the stricter ETF-confirmed subgroup path described below.
Maximum two open per sector. Two initial entries plus at most one deliberate replacement per day (three entries total, across calls and puts). The third entry must replace an existing position; an ordinary exit does not create another slot. Different sectors are managed independently.
Group exit: SPY and QQQ must reverse, and the sector must reverse with broad opposing price moves and money flow. The sector must give back at least 30% of its session range and at least 0.45 percentage points; each index must give back at least 30% and 0.15 points. Sector 10-minute momentum must reverse by 0.20 points, each index by 0.10. At most 40% of sector stocks may still be moving/flowing in the trade direction. Conditions must hold in 4 of 5 completed minutes, including the current minute. Calls are measured from highs; puts from lows. A small pullback or sector-only weakness does not trigger this group exit.
Sector grouping from Oct 28: Biotech / Genomics (MRNA, TWST, TEM, TXG, ILMN) is separate from Pharma / Healthcare. Consumer combines staples + discretionary. Utilities is separate. Each group independently has two initial slots, at most one upgrade, paired risk exits and a loss lock. Earlier saved sessions and replays keep their original grouping.
Deliberate upgrade: compare an unentered qualifying candidate with the weakest of two same-side open alerts. The candidate must pass the full entry gate for five consecutive fresh minutes and have direction-aligned normalized 1h flow at least 1.5× the outgoing alert, with an additional 0.15 of normal-volume advantage, throughout those bars. The outgoing alert must have been held at least 20 minutes and must be flat or profitable. Replace only that alert; keep the stronger partner open. One upgrade per sector per day, with no return to a previously used stock/direction.
Paired risk exits: a stop, VWAP reversal, index + sector reversal, or end-of-day exit still closes the partner, whether winning or losing. Risk exits take priority over upgrades.
One-loss guard: the first losing close ends that sector's current risk episode: close remaining sector exposure at fresh observed prices and block new entries in either direction for the rest of the day. Two simultaneous positions can lose in the same episode; the guard prevents repeated entries afterward. Other sectors remain eligible. A profitable group exit pauses that direction for at least 30 minutes and requires broad recovery before re-entry.
Entry rules, existing positions and records
ETF-confirmed subgroup: a stock may qualify when the broad basket is mixed. It must rank top 3 for flow versus normal, have 10m/30m relative volume at least 3×/2×, and pass the standard stock checks in two consecutive completed bars. The mapped sector ETF must move at least 0.15 percentage points from its opposing extreme since 09:35, have at least 0.05% directional 10-minute momentum, and trade at least 0.05% beyond its VWAP calculated since 09:35. ETF conditions must hold in 4 of 5 bars including the current bar. At least one other stock in the same sector must be over 0.5% past VWAP with agreeing 30-minute flow and a fresh price. Both paths share the same sector daily limits, paired exits and loss lock.
Entry checks: top-10 flow versus normal, volume and VWAP confirmation, and sector breadth/persistence/strength. Entry window 10:15–15:30, one alert per stock/direction/day. Existing 1.5% bar-close stop, VWAP reversal and 15:55 exits remain as safeguards. Stops may exceed their threshold between observed bars.
At release, an over-cap sector triggers a capacity reduction and paired exit. Earlier alerts still count toward the daily cap; their history is not erased. Today's prior losing closes count toward the sector lock. Original entries and closed results are preserved. New exits are never backdated.
Watch-only signals: underlying-price marks, not option returns or broker trades. Closed wins/losses exclude open marks. Historical sessions retain their original rules.
