How to read this tree

Branch selection: USD → TLT → USO → GLD, using the sign of each saved VWAP difference. Positive means up (above VWAP); negative means down (below VWAP). USD uses its saved TWAP when no volume-weighted average is available. All 16 above/below combinations remain visible. Zero is neutral; missing or stale averages do not select a full branch.

SPX direction: the SPX arrow and color also follow its VWAP difference. A negative difference points down even if the daily change is positive. Here “up/down” means price above/below the session average, not the slope of the VWAP line. Daily change and the fixed levels USD 102, TLT 78, USO 150 and GLD 380 are reference only and never choose a branch.

Possible SPX direction: this is a chosen qualitative pressure rule using only the four VWAP/TWAP signs. Actual SPX, daily changes, absolute prices, financial ranks and AI scores do not determine the bias. Above average: USD −2 (dollar pressure), TLT +2 (bond support / possible rate relief), USO −2 (oil-cost pressure), GLD −1 (possible defensive demand). Below average reverses each contribution. Gold has less weight because its equity relationship is context dependent. Total ≥ +3 means Up bias; ≤ −3 means Down bias; −1 to +1 means Mixed. These weights are assumptions, not fitted coefficients or a probability. The rule has no validated forecast horizon or measured success rate.

Comparison: “agrees” means actual SPX is on the same side of VWAP as the bias at this snapshot; it is not proof of forecasting accuracy. Stocks and bonds can react differently under growth versus inflation news, oil has supply and demand drivers, and gold can also rise with equities.

Financials: your Financials category, with median Flow rank (1 is strongest), median daily change, and the number above/below VWAP. “Broad weakness” needs a median rank in the bottom third and at least 60% below VWAP; “Broad strength” needs the top third and at least 60% above VWAP. Otherwise it is mixed. At least 70% rank and VWAP coverage is required. These are descriptive checks, not measured funding or credit spreads.

AI: the same checks across your AI Semiconductors, AI Networking, Data Center and Memory & Storage categories, plus MSFT, AMZN, META, GOOGL, DELL, SMCI and VRT. Names are counted once. Expand each card to see its members.

Data: prices, ranks and VWAP differences come from Flow. USD has no reported traded volume, so its saved five-minute time-weighted average is shown as TWAP when VWAP is missing. Collection time is not an exchange tick time. During market hours, collections older than 12 minutes are marked delayed and averages older than 15 minutes are not used. After the close, the last saved session stays visible and is labeled.

Interpretation: this tree describes today’s combination; it does not prove why prices moved or forecast a crisis. TLT represents long-duration Treasuries, USO is an oil-futures proxy, and GLD tracks gold bullion less expenses.

Method, thresholds, and data limits

Credit: direct financial exposure contributes 50%, funding-sensitive stocks 30%, and growth spillover 20%. Within each group, downside depth contributes 70% and the share of falling names 30%. An average 5% downside move reaches the depth component’s ceiling.

Risk bands: Calm below 20; Watch 20–34.99; Elevated 35–49.99; Medium-high 50–64.99; High 65–79.99; Severe 80–100. These are the existing model’s descriptive bands.

War theme: energy rising, defense rising, and risk assets falling, weighted 45% / 25% / 30%. This measures a market pattern, not the probability of war.

AI stress: weakness in leaders, infrastructure, and power/cooling/data centers, weighted 45% / 35% / 20%. Supporting moves increase stress; opposing moves show resilience.

Trend: change against the nearest saved calculation roughly 30 minutes earlier, within a 20–60 minute window on the same date. At least +2 points is worsening; at most −2 points is easing. Otherwise there is little change.

Coverage and freshness: absent stocks are not observations of calm conditions. Scores retain the producer’s existing weights; missing names can weaken the reading. The saved source does not provide per-quote timestamps, so calculation time cannot establish market-data freshness.
